So glad you're here!
Nice to meet you! I'm Kirsten (she/her), a Clinical Social Worker, therapist, and private practice owner. I am also a wife, mom, and avid reality tv fan. I love people-watching, a piping hot cup of coffee, and exploring nature with my family and pup. When I'm not chasing my little ones around, I enjoy a good book, laughing with friends, or attempting a watercolor painting.
Meet Your Therapist
Through my own experience of being a stay-at-home mom, and now also a working mom, I grew a passion for helping others navigate the anxiety, overwhelm, and burnout that comes with putting yourself last on your to-do list. It is my hope that my lived experience of anxiety and stress would provide you with a counselor you can relate to, one with a deep well of empathy for what you are going through.

I am especially passionate about working with women who are perfectionists and people pleasers, on a journey to prioritize their own wellness. You were not meant to navigate this life alone, and it is my honor to walk alongside you towards a life that is more peaceful and fulfilling.

My approach to therapy is person-centered, strengths-based, and deeply relational. I offer a non-judgmental, safe space for you to be heard and seen, and to be able to do this in the environment that is most comfortable and convenient for you - on your lunch break, during nap time - no commute necessary! I utilize evidence-based treatments, including but not limited to, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), solution-focused brief therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

I come from the belief that one of the most powerful aspects of therapy is the connection between the client and therapist, which is why I offer a free connection call to see if we might be a good match. My therapeutic style is to combine empathy with accountability, encouraging you toward new growth and fresh ‘blooms’. I also like to sprinkle in a little bit of light heartedness and humor into our sessions together.

My education includes a Bachelor of Social Work from St. Edward’s University and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. I worked for several years in trauma-informed non-profits in public schools and within the community in Austin, TX providing counseling and support, as well as in private practice.
